I have found that I have so much to do and such little time to do it! Ugh! This England Journal is going to take me ALL YEAR!!! So here's day #2 probably the best day!!
We started off by missing our free breakfast because we SLEPT IN!! Our maid came around at 10 and woke us! This does not happen with my Mom nor I--so I just had to giggle! I couldn't have cared less about the food--SLEEP is WAY BETTER!! So we got started at the Museum of Welsh life. It's a 100 acre Museum with different welsh homes and lifestyles throughout the years, dating back to 950 A.D. It was awesome and so picturesque!!
Love the thatched roof!
The sheep adding to the ambiance! Loved it!
A pic of a stone wall! They were everywhere in Great Britain--and went on for miles!
Even gardens were planted in the garden areas!!
Some of the Gardens
And great flowers......
Fabulous tree growing on the ground....
Gardens....
And Rose Gardens. These bushes were on the verge of BURSTING! There were so many buds, and I am sure that a week later this place looked insane gorgeous!
A tree covered path! Tree covered paths and roads were EVERYWHERE we went!
I loved them! All of them!!
I loved them! All of them!!
The castle gates with awesome gold vines and leaves!
A pic inside the castle! My Mom loved this chair!!
The most amazing "Love Spoon" I have ever seen or imagined!
(A "Love Spoon" in a Welsh tradition where, typically the Man, would take a single piece of would and carve a spoon out of it! It was an expression of their love and dedication to them, and it was symbolized by the time and effort it would take to carve the spoon!)
They would get creative, but I can't believe this! This is all out of one piece of wood!
That guy loved his woman!!

a close up of the chain detail!! AMAZING!!!
The fashion museum inside the Museum of Welsh life was MUCH BETTER than the one we went to in Bath, and it was FREE!! I guess it was just more what I wanted to see......meaning how the clothes changed throughout the years! This is a picture of a dress style that my mom wore and loved!! (Which is picture worthy cause my Mom isn't one for dresses!)
We left Wales and drove towards the Cotswalds, a grouping of small Wool towns that are quaint and FAB!! They are dreamy! Like a place that couldn't even be in a movie....it has to be a storybook! That's how cute they are!
Here is a pic from the side of the road as we drove into Burton on the Water!

The bathroom was quickly found, and we loved the hand dryers! It sent out powerful streams of air from hundreds of little holes and literally blasted our hands dry! It was awesome! I don't typically like hand dryers.....but I would use these!!
A glance of the town.
The Car Museum that was a find!! It looked mini from the outside, but was a HUGE surprise! It was loaded with all kinds of cars, and Car signs, nick-nacks, a bunch of carburetor covers that my mom went goo-goo ga-ga over, and even the original Brum! I learned a lot, and loved watching my Mom's eyes sparkle and smile!
You can see that every inch was packed as tight as could be!
Strike a pose!!
The Brum!
A Model of Henry Ford's first car called the Quadricycle!
This made my Mom step back in time as she remembered going to a shop just like this with her Dad!
Is this a swear word now???
A depiction of my Mom driving in England! It was crazy driving on the WRONG side of the road with a clutch while shifting with her LEFT hand. Right feels left and Left feels right, and luckily it was her driving! We made it 922 miles without an accident!
Just thinking of Shauna!
Our first meal of the day at 4:30 pm! It was a pub and it was YUMMY food!
A cute shop called the Croft that reminded us of our Next Door neighbor Bill. He was on the mind because he was the main help for my Mom rebuilding HER Model T Ford!!
Just a glance down the street!
Just walking down the street!
Can you see why we loved it!
We visited Burton on the Water and Stayed in Chipping Campden!
This is how we were greeted in Chipping Campden!
And this too! Seriously! The thatched roof with a decorative border surrounded by bubbly bushes!
Ahh! Sweet bliss! I wanted to live there immediately!

This was the pathway into our B&B!
And the view from our window!
Some of the great flowers...
and the quaint little room! They had strawberry, raspberry and Pomegranate teas as well as hot chocolate! Loved it!!
We took a stroll around 10 pm and caught a glimpse of fabulous views! We returned in the am!! It was such a great day! I loved every minute and every sight!
